Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver features
• Build and integrate APIs, services, and third-party systems
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
• Ensure software quality through testing, automation, and CI/CD practices

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience developing software using Python
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Exposure to containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g. JavaScript frameworks)
• Experience working in Agile environments
